Synopsis

A drama about a long term sickness, retiring singer Wah Fong Ying (Liza Wang) has come to realize that she has failed to live a fulfilling life. With two failed marriages and strained relationships with her three children, Fong Ying is much lonelier than she admits.
Summoning up all her courage, Fong Ying flies to Taiwan to mend her broken relationship with her oldest daughter. During this time, she comes across Hong Kong photographer Law Ben (Damian Lau), who is in Taiwan to fulfill his late wife’s (Michelle Yim) wish of returning to her ancestral home. Sparks fly when the extraordinary meets the ordinary. Both Fong Ying and Ben find their strength as they quietly support each other.

TVB Wudang Rules(朝拜武當) Synopsis and Theme Song - No Fear (無懼)

Synopsis

Chin Siu-ho, a former undercover cop, seeks refuge at the Wutang Mountains after suffering a serious setback. He re-encounters his martial arts senior, Yuen Qiu, who now operates an inn and martial arts school. She allows Siu-ho to stay to work as a chef and also takes in the mentally retarded Derek Kwok, who has an unknown background. The originally peaceful place is disrupted by a group of martial arts students from Hong Kong, which includes Yuen Qiu's daughter (Tavia Yeung), a champion fighter with a serious illness (Timmy Hung), a wealthy heir (Jonathan Cheung), a female personal bodyguard (Toby Leung) and a model (Regen Cheung). It turns out that Siu-ho and Tavia had already met in Hong Kong. Her reappearance brings up painful memories for him. Later, he discovers that the real purpose of her trip is to convince her mother to sell the inn to a Hong Kong corporation. Yuen Qiu deliberately injures herself and asks Siu-ho to take over as the martial arts instructor. She promises that if Tavia can win a competition within three months, she will fulfill her wish. As the course nears an end, Derek suddenly becomes normal again and recognizes Siu-ho's real identity, thereby surrounding the Wudang Mountains with great danger...

TVB Ultimate Addiction ( 點金勝手) Sub-Theme Song Tight Game (棋逢敵手)

Synopsis

Cheuk Yuk is a major figure in the financial industry who has no problems with crossing boundaries and playing dirty tricks for his own benefits. For this, he has long been a target of the Commercial Crime Bureau. Cheuk Yuk is much obsessed in the game of money and power, such that he neglects his family and friends. His wife and master have successively passed away because of him; however, he still felt no remorse, and instead, his ways have even worsened. Cheuk Yuk's brother-in-law, Chow San Yung, being a member of the CCB, vows to have Cheuk Yuk prosecuted and brought to justice. His senior Ho Seung Yi, and subordinate Chi Nga also work together with him to collect evidence. San Yung, at first, had high hopes for Chi Nga and even views her as his apprentice; however, Chi Nga suddenly resigns from her position as a CCB member and joins Cheuk Yuk's company. She first gains the trust of Cheuk Yuk's second wife, Fong Ming Yu and then assists Cheuk Yuk to battle the female tycoon of the financial industry, Cha Pui Fan. Eventually, Chi Nga seems to have the entire situation under her control, and even Cheuk Yuk's fiery ambition appears to have been engulfed.

Sub-Theme Song

Sub theme song for this drama is Tight Game (棋逢敵手) sung by Hubert Wu & Kate Tsui . One of my youtube subscriber requested for this song. TVB Drama Empress of China (武則天) synopsis and Theme Song - Queen (女皇) - Joey Yung (容祖兒)

Synopsis

Chinese actress Fan Bingbing's 'Empress of China' aired its Cantonese version in Hong Kong starting on April 26 2015.

Following its success in viewership ratings in Mainland China despite suffering from censorship regulations, 'Empress of China' in Cantonese version finally is available for viewing in Hong Kong under TVB.

The historical drama, which was produced by Fan herself, will be reduced to 70 episodes from the original 82 episodes. It will also be dubbed in Cantonese and will air daily starting on April 26, Sunday through TVB channels.

In order to avoid censorship, TVB announced that they will be using additional computer generated imagery to cover up the actress' cleavage in some scenes which were heavily censored in China earlier this year.

Regarding the additional CGI censoring, Fan expressed that she wished that the series will be aired in its original layout, stating that she has gone through a lot of hardships wearing the elaborate costumes. However, the actress stated that she respects the broadcast limitations set by Hong Kong's laws.

On April 20, the cast and crew of the epic drama held a press conference at TVB's TV Studios. More than a hundred journalists attended the said event where two of Fan's costumes, each worth around $500,000 HKD, were displayed

Reports state that TVB insured $1 million HKD to ensure that the costumes will arrive in Hong Kong safely. In addition, TVB also reportedly spent more than $2 million HKD for the press conference.

'The Empress of China' revolves around Wu Zetian and her rise to the Tang throne as the very first empress regent of Ancient China.

Theme Song 

The Theme Song for this drama entitled "Queen" (女皇) was sung by Joey Yung (容祖兒). A very beautiful song that I like. I did a piano cover of this song and below is the video of it. I apologize as there was some vibration during the video recording that I realized only after I posted it. The vibration was mostly caused by my heavy pounding on the keyboard :). OUR PRAYER - An Original Compostion

I actually wrote the chorus of this song for parents day last May 2014 but just couldn't complete it. I finally got the verse for this song and would like to share it with all of you since mother's day is around the corner

The song is about all of us especially parents with children. We want our kids to have the best education, best in Music, Sports, arts, to be good in anything that they learn. In this modern world, parents do worry how their kids will live their life in the future, whether they will have good values of character when they grow up. As a Christian, we want them to be a great servant of God, to live a life that is pleasing to Him. But we are not perfect too. One thing for sure is that we have hope that our Father will Lead us to lead our children and to teach us to teach out kids. Only He can make our home more complete. I pray that all of us will depend on Him to bring up our kids well and to have a complete home. Make this our prayer for the well being of our kids to shine His light despite the dark world that we are leaving in. Below is the video of the song I wrote and sung.

TVB Drama Outbound Love (單戀雙城) Synopsis and Theme Song

Synopsis

In order to develop new business, LAW SIK-SIK (Aimee Chan), who works for a travel agency, goes to Malaysia to have a meeting with her client. Unexpectedly, her plans are ruined by a local cunning tour guide, LUK KUNG-CHI (Ruco Chan), resulting in a falling-out between the two. All of a sudden, SIK-SIK's boyfriend CHING CHIN-BOK (Mat Yeung) appears to propose marriage to her. The pair start preparing for their wedding ceremony on the heels of their return to Hong Kong. Just when SIK-SIK thinks she is the happiest bride in the world, out of the blue, the intimate video clip showing her fiancé having an affair with her best friend are made public during the wedding ceremony. As such, grief-stricken SIK-SIK once again heads to Malaysia and changes her job to work in a local hotel, where she re-encounters KUNG-CHI. Due to each other's different frame of mind, seemingly aloof yet close subtle feelings have gradually been developed between them. CHIN-BOK's younger sister CHING CHIN-CHUN (Lin Xia Wei) has been taking SIK-SIK's side instead of her own brother’s, supporting her break-up decision. Also through SIK-SIK, she gets to know celebrity chef CHIN TSUN (Tony Hung), becoming his apprentice to learn the cooking skills. After the two have spent some time together, CHIN-CHUN has a crush on her master. However, for all these years, CHIN TSUN cannot get SIK-SIK off his mind. Just when he is about to disclose his love affection towards SIK-SIK, CHIN-BOK starts pursuing SIK-SIK all over again, whereas the one who lays him a helping hand turns out to be KUNG-CHI.

I enjoyed watching this drama. Basically a romance drama filmed at Penang Malaysia. I love Ruco Chan's acting. This is one drama without any bad guys.

I did a piano cover of the theme song entitled "Wanting to Hate You"(很想討厭你)  sung by Lin Xia Wei as it was requested by my wife Irene. She love this song so much and asked me to play and do the piano sheet.

TVB Drama Silver Spoon, Sterling Shackles (名媛望族) Synopsis and Theme Song (此時此刻)

Synopsis

The drama follows the lives of a large, rich, and influential Chinese family living in British Hong Kong during the 1920′s and 30′s, a time when eastern and western cultures clashed, and women began to fight for a position in society to change the traditions of a woman always coming second behind a man.

Although wealthy and renowned barrister, Chung Cheuk Man (Damian Lau) studied abroad in England and enjoyed a western lifestyle, deep down he is still a traditional Chinese man. Similar to many upper class during that era, Cheuk Man has many wives and mistresses, a symbol of his status. His first wife Koo Sum Lan (Mary Hon) was born from a wealthy family. His second wife, Aisin Gioro Yee Yin (Idy Chan) is an former princess from the Qing dynasty. His third wife, Yvonne Yik (Elena Kong) came from a rich banker family. Peking opera singer Hong Tsz Kwan (Tavia Yeung) is the fourth wife. The fifth woman in Cheuk Man’s life is Chiu Dan Dan (JJ Jia, who was only interested in living a luxurious and materialistic lifestyle.

Of the five women, Cheuk Man’s most beloved is Tsz Kwan, but she is a very strong advocate in women’s rights, with her opinions always clashing with the traditional Cheuk Man.

The drama also portrayed the differences between the Cheuk Man and his children. Due to the strict lifestyle and teachings of Cheuk Man, his two sons, Chung Kai Sun (Kenneth Ma) and Chung Kai Wah (Vincent Wong 王浩信) had constant arguments with their father, and his daughter, Chung Ho Yee (Sire Ma 馬賽) married a poor policeman against the family’s will.

As arguments between the Chung’s family members intensify, another foe of the family caused further complications. Kam Muk Shui (Ron Ng) has strong feelings for Kwai Siu Yau (Rebecca Zhu), who came from the same orphanage. Angered by losing Siu Yau when she married into the Chung family as Kai Sun’s wife, Muk Shui decided to plot his revenge by involving himself with the members of the Chung’s family.

Theme Song

TVB Drama Young Charioteers (衝線) Synopsis and Theme Song (美好的時光)

Synopsis

Starring Him Law (羅仲謙), Sammy Sum (沈震軒), Lin Xia Wei (林夏薇), Sisley Choi (蔡思貝), and Michelle Yim (米雪), the TVB youth drama Young Charioteers <衝線> premieres on March 2.

Sharing a love for road bicycle racing, Yau Tat (Him Law) and Ip Fai Ting (Sammy Sum) were close friends in high school. The two lost contact after Ting returned to Taiwan to settle a family matter, but they met again years later at an accounting firm they both work for. Their superior Ning Hei (Rosina Lin) is exceptional at manipulating office politics and comes in between Tat and Ting’s friendship.

Fortunately, Tat has the secretary Wu Sam Lam (Jinny Ng) to confide to, and Tat’s mother Lee Wai Wan (Michelle Yim), also want the two to become a couple. However, Tat is emotionally wary due to family baggage, and he is unable to love Lam in the same way she loves him.

Theme Song
The theme song "Beautiful Time" (美好的時光) sung by Jinny Ng (吴若希) is one of my favorite. I enjoyed the song as well as playing it. The bridge part is also very nice and challenging to play and arrange. TVB Drama Line Walker (使徒行者) Synopsis and Sub-Theme Song (越難越愛)

The drama follows the lives of undercover police agents that must live a double life in secrecy. Not knowing when they can return to their normal life they endure the constant fear of being uncovered by those they are assigned to infiltrate. But their lives are also put in danger when it is discovered that there is a mole within the police who works for the criminals

Cheuk Hoi (Michael Miu) is a Chief inspector of Hong Kong’s Criminal Intelligence Bureau (CIB) police unit. He is a righteous supervisor that will resort to unethical tactics in order to restore the identities of his undercover subordinates who have gone missing and deemed by the police department to have strayed to the criminal side. When he finds his friend Hong To Hang, a fellow Chief inspector in the CIB unit, thrown off a building under mysterious circumstances, he learns from Hong's dying words that there are moles within the police force working for the triads. In order to protect the lives of his five undercover agents, Hong has deleted their files from the police database, erasing their identities as police officers. Hong charges Hoi with the task of finding each lost undercover agent, but dies before he can tell Hoi any further information. Remembering Hong's warning against trusting anyone in the police force, Hoi keeps Hong's last words hidden from his superiors. Instead, he sets out on his own to find Hong's five undercover agents.

With clues left behind by Hong, Hoi finds undercover agent Ting Siu Ka (Charmaine Sheh) who fronts as an owner of a foot massage parlor, and assumes his role as her new handler. Siu Ka's only assignment under Hong was to gather intelligence but Hoi assigns her the task of helping him find the other four undercover agents. Siu Ka decides to get close to Sit Ka Keung (Raymond Lam), nicknamed Seed who is part of an illegal gambling gang. He fronts as an ice deliveryman but is actually in charge of collecting unpaid gambling debts. Siu Ka previously clashed with Seed and his partner Muk Sut when they went to her shop to collect a gambling debt but becomes friendly with them because she knows of their connection to a major triad organization.

Meanwhile Kobe Lin Ho Kan (Sammy Sum), another undercover agent working for Hong, fronted as a crooked stock broker in order to go to prison and get close to triad boss Chum Foon Hei as the last assignment he received from Hong, but Foon Hei soon proved to be a cunning target. Unable to gain any traction with Foon, Kobe believed he had failed his assignment. However upon Kobe's release from prison, Foon Hei asks Kobe to join his organization. In order for Kobe to follow through with his undercover assignment, Kobe sacrifices his relationship with ICAC officer Mok Sin Yan (Sharon Chan), who is unaware that Kobe is an undercover agent.

I didn't watch this drama. My youtube subscriber requested me to play the sub-theme song of this drama entitled "Love is not easy" (越難越愛) sung by Jinny Ng (吴若希). I search for this song and really like it. The piano cover video of this song is below as well as the Piano Sheet and Song mp3.

TVB Drama Eye In the Sky (天眼) synopsis and Theme Song

Watched this drama which just ended 3 weeks back. Its a crime drama starring Kevin Cheng (鄭嘉頴), Ruco Chan (陳展鵬), and Tavia Yeung (楊怡), aired in Astro on Demand. 

Szeto Shun (Kevin Cheng) was an elite member of the Special Crime Unit in the Hong Kong Police Force. He was forced to leave the force after getting implicated in an arson case. He then worked at a security company, where he meets the intelligent Cheung Lik Hang (Ruco Chan). With their similar ways of thinking and work styles, Shun and Hang become close friends. Their superior, Kong Wui Hoi (Lau Kong). However, Shun encounters private investigator Jenny (Tavia Yeung) which changed his life.

Jan Ng falls in love with Szeto Shun at first sight after seeing him take down a gun crazed criminal during a jewel heist in progress. When a client that looks identical to Shun shows up at her father's investigation firm she automatically assumes him to be Shun without asking his name. Since the client does not want to divulge his true identity he goes along with Jan thinking he is Shun. He hires her to trail a person that leads her entangled with the triads, but saves her in time and the two have a one night stand. Jan later runs into the real Shun and assumes him to be the same person she had spent the night with. When Shun tells her he has "never met her before" she thinks he is a scoundrel who takes advantage of females. Later while investigating another client's case at the Y Suite Hotel she finds out indeed that Shun is not the same person as her client. She promises to help Shun find her client and the two form a mentor-protege relationship.

Didn't quite like Ruco Chan as the bad guy maybe because I watched his previous drama Outbound Love where he was a cheerful honest guy.

The Theme song for this drama is "The Truth" sung by Alfred Hui & Hubert Wu. A very majestic type of song yet appealing. I like this song and did a piano cover of it. TVB Smooth Talker(以和為貴) Synopsis and Theme Song

Starring Joe Ma (馬德鐘) and Kate Tsui (徐子珊), Smooth Talker <以和為貴> was aired on March 30 2015. Produced by Lam Chi Wah (林志華), the 20-episode comedy is Joe Ma’s last drama with TVB before the expiration of his per series contract.

Smooth Talker focuses on Hau Tak Sze (Joe Ma), who manages his late father’s fellowship society. However, in his full-time job as a mediator, he often uses extreme measures to solve difficult conflicts for Hong Kong citizens. In a divorce case, he meets Mo Sui Yee (Kate Tsui) and her sociophobic younger sister Mo Sui Ka (Tracy Chu 朱千雪), both who are temporarily living with their older cousin Lam Ah Lui (Elena Kong 江美儀).

Sui Yee soon discovers that her ex-husband’s lover, Fa Yee (Carat Cheung 張名雅) lives in the same building as Ah Lui. Sui Yee assumes Tak Sze and Fa Yee are friends, and causes great trouble for Tak Sze. Through her boss Au Yeung Kai (Johnson Lee 李思捷), who is good friends with Tak Sze, Sui Yee and Tak Sze eventually settle their differences and the two become close friends.

Inspired by Tak Sze, Sui Yee begins to take courses to become a mediator. She finds the job self-fulfilling and learns how to forgive and forget. Just when Tak Sze and Sui Yee’s relationship takes a new turn, Sui Yee’s ex-husband suddenly shows up. The murderer of Tak Sze’s father also makes an appearance.

Theme Song for this drama is "Way Out"; 出口, sung by Justin Lo and Johnson Lee. When I first heard it, I didn't really like it. It's a song sitting on the fence. You either like it or dislike it. However, after listening a few more rounds, it's quite nice especially the Bridge part of the song. I did a piano cover of this song and below is the video of it. The minute I heard the song from Wiz Khalifa featuring Charlie Puth, I fell in love with it. I decided to play and share this song. Not only it's a beautiful song, it's a song written in memory of one of my favorite actor Paul Walker. It's in the soundtrack of the movie Furious 7. I've watched all the previous 6 movies but haven't watch the latest. I don't know Paul Walker personally but I've somehow being touch by the video and song. After playing the cover for this song, I discovered there is another version sung by Charlie Puth without Wiz Khalifa. It's very nice. Would like to make another piano cover for this version another day.

Set My Spirit Free

A song I composed on 2nd July 2013 in response to that Sunday's sermon about sin and repentance taken from the book of Jonah and also Psalms 51. At birth we have sin. We have sin against Him and Him only we have sinned. But He sent Jesus that by believing and accepting Him, we can be made whole again. Let us all continue to worship Him in Spirit and in Truth. Do not let anything hinder us from worshipping our Father. Here are all my Original Christian Songs.

TVB Theme Songs

Hi my fellow friends and my youtube subscribers. It's been quite a while since I visited my own blog. Been busy playing piano covers especially TVB drama Theme Songs. You can check those covers here TVB songs. Do like, subscribe and share if you enjoy my playing. I also provide piano sheets for the songs I played and NO, I don't charge.

Now, how do I end up doing TVB theme songs? It started last year when I watched the TVB drama Outbound Love. It was filmed mainly in Penang and KL, Malaysia. The theme song was very nice. My wife, Irene Woo, love this song and asked me to play it and provide the score so that she can play it too. And so, I played and recorded the video, uploaded it to youtube with the score sheet provided on the 16th February 2014. Didn't expect a good response from this video as it hit 27k views and many downloaded the score.

I decided to do more TVB songs but being myself (Procrastinator), I didn't do anything until 16th January 2015, where I pushed myself to do more piano covers and finally uploaded Outbound love sub-theme song . after almost 1 year. If I'm not mistaken, my subscribers grew from about 50 to 504 currently in 3 months. I hope to get more subscribers. It's quite an experience for me doing the covers. It's not easy. Knowing myself as a perfectionist, I have to recorded multiple times of the video until I played one perfect performance without any mistakes. I think my record is playing about 60 to 70 times to play perfectly until I didn't sleep at all. Well, the good thing is I've improved in my playing. Another experience is notating my arrangements. Really a tedious job, but for you my fans, I'm doing it for you. One song needs maybe 8-10 hours to complete the piano sheet. I hope to master the software so that I can do a song instantly. I hope I've inspired all of you to continue learning and practicing piano and Let The Music Play. Don't give up !!!! Practice and practice and practice. I've done it and so can you. :)
